M: I love ice-cream… Like, love ice-cream. If there’s any dessert I could choose from, I will always eat ice-cream.
Well that was settled quickly. So, we finished off our salads and then crossed the street to make up for all that healthy eating.
Apart from making their own delicious ice-cream using fresh, natural, and sustainable ingredients, Rain or Shine buys its dairy from local farms! Businesses like these:
They have quite a large selection consisting of staples called “Keepers” and a rotating collection called “Seasonal Flings.” They also do milkshakes and have a ton of toppings for you to choose from.
Grace got the salted caramel and honey lavender mix…
… While Mell went with chocolate and strawberry cheesecake ice-cream.
G: Oh my. I can’t go back to Superstore ice-cream anymore. The salted caramel is more salty than I’m used to, but still delicious. MMMM.
M: They’re sold out of my favourites! What do you mean no Earl Grey and snickerdoodle?! … Guess I’m forced to try new which suits me just fine. Their chocolate is divine and the strawberry cheesecake is perfectly sweet enough. This place is honestly in my top two places to buy ice cream in this city (so far). And that’s saying something considering I covet and consume ice cream at least three times/week. Yes, I may have a problem.
The ice-cream was so, so creamy and smooth. For Grace, who’s not an ice-cream connoisseur like Mell (yet), it was pretty much a whole new world.
The waffle cone was also crispy—and stayed crispy—the whole time we were eating, which was nice. They have quite a wide range of flavours for you to choose from and you’re free to sample them, so don’t be shy.
Seriously. You’ll really want to sample everything first.
